User Agreement

  • 1 Purpose
    The purpose of these Terms is to stipulate the terms and conditions of use between the Site and Users, all procedures, and other necessary matters in using the Internet-related services through the website (hereinafter the “Site”) operated by the UST Industry-University Cooperation Foundation(hereinafter “UST”).
  • 2. Definitions
    The definitions of the terms used herein shall be as follows.
    1. "Site" means a virtual business site set up by UST using information and communication facilities such as computers to provide the Service to the Users or a website operated by UST, and refers to following sites that may be provided using a single integrated member account (ID and password).

    2. “Service” means services and other incidental services provided through the Site that provide information by making a database of data registered by individuals for the purpose of job search, education, etc. through the Site operated by UST and by classifying, processing, and aggregating the data for each purpose.
    3. "Member(s)" means individual member and corporate member who have been granted a user ID by agreeing to these Terms and entering into a service contract with UST in order to use the Service.
    4. "User ID" or "Member ID" means a combination of letters and numbers selected by a member and granted by UST for member identification and service use.
    5. "Password" means a combination of letters and numbers selected by Member to confirm that the person who intends to use the Service is the same person who has been given the User ID and to protect the rights and interests of the Member.
  • 3. Publication and Amendment
    1. UST shall post the contents of these Terms, company’s name and location, representative's name, business registration number, contact information, etc. on the initial screen for Users’ information or notify users in other ways.
    2. UST may amend these Terms to the extent that it does not violate related laws, such as the Act On The Regulation Of Terms And Conditions, Framework Act on Telecommunications, Telecommunications Business Act, and Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
    3. When UST amends these Terms, UST will specify the date of application and the reason for the amendment, and make publicly known the amended terms together with the current terms from 7 days before the effective date to the day before the effective date. However, in the case of changes that significantly affect the rights and obligations of Member, the notice shall be made 30 days prior to the effective date.
    4. Member has the right to refuse the amended terms. Member may express their intention to refuse within 15 days of the notice of the amendment, and in that case UST, the service provider, may terminate the contract with such Member after giving a 15 days prior notice thereto. In case that a Member does not express his or her intention to refuse or uses the Service after the effective date, it shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.
  • 4. Interpretation
    1. Any matters not stipulated in these Terms shall be governed by related laws such as the Act on Regulation of Terms and Conditions, Framework Act on Telecommunications, Telecommunications Business Act, and Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
    2. In case that there are terms and conditions for each site and service, these Terms shall take precedence.
    3. In case that a Member enters into an individual contract with UST to use the Service, the individual contract shall take precedence.
  • 5. Establishment of Service Contract
    1. UST service contract (hereinafter as the "Service Contract") is established when there are the consent of the person who intends to use the Service to these Terms and the UST privacy policy and when UST approves to the use application (membership application).
    2. When a person who intends to use the Service clicks the "I agree" button on the web at the stage of application for use, it shall be deemed to have agreed to these Terms and the privacy policy.
  • 6. Application for Use of Service
    1. A user who intends to use the Service by signing up as a Member shall provide the information requested by UST, such as name, date of birth, and contact information.
    2. Any IDs of Members who applied for use by stealing someone else's name will be deleted, and they may be punished according to related laws.
    3. Mobile phone number shall be used the mobile phone number certified by NICE Information Service.
  • 7. Acceptance and Restriction
    1. UST, in principle, will accept the application for the use of the Service in the order of reception if there is no problem in performance or technology for a user applying for use pursuant to the provisions of the preceding article.
    2. UST will not accept the application for use in the following cases:
      • In case of applying with non-real name or someone else's name
      • In case of falsely providing information on the application
    3. In the case of the following, UST may withhold the acceptance of the application until the reason for the restriction is resolved:
      • If UST does not have enough facilities;
      • If there is a technical obstacle to UST; or
      • If it is difficult to accept the application for use due to other reasons attributable to UST.
  • 8. Contents of Service
    1. UST will provide the Service as described in Article 2(2), and the contents shall be as follows:
      • Create/save/edit/register in DB a resume;
      • Create/save/edit/register in DB job information;
      • Recommending candidates to company and recruitment service (only if the resume is set to public);
      • Application for employment by individual Members for recruitment information registered by company;
      • Search/registration of
        Customized recruitment information
        /Customized talent information;
      • Scrap recruitment information/
        talent information;
      • Search closed recruitment information/
        talent information;
      • File storage; and
      • Any other services that UST provides to Members through further development or partnership agreements, etc.
    2. UST may add or change the contents of the Service if necessary, provide, that, however, in this case, UST shall notify the Member thereof.
  • 9. Individual Member Information, Resume Publication
    1. The resume of the individual Member is exposed in the form designated thereby at the time of signing up or writing and editing its resume.
    2. UST will consider that individual Member has agreed to disclose its resumes to corporate Members if they set to disclose their resumes, and UST may provide the Service of viewing the resume to these Members free of charge. However, if each contact item is designated as private, the contact information for each item shall not be disclosed.
    3. UST may allow the Site operator to view resume information for testing and monitoring for the purpose of providing stable service.
  • 10. Service Hours
    1. UST will provide the Service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, unless there is a special reason. However, UST may separately set service hours for some of the Service depending on the type or nature of the Service, and in this case, UST shall announce, or notify of, the service hours to the members in advance.
    2. UST may temporarily suspend the Service in the event of system work hours for data processing and update, maintenance work time for troubleshooting, regular PM work, system replacement work, line failure, etc., and in the case of planned work, shall notify of the time of service downtime and the contents of work at the notice section.
  • 11. Suspension of Provision of Service
    UST may suspend the provision of the Service in the following cases:
    • In case the Members are notified in advance due to the needs of UST, such as facility maintenance;
    • In case a common telecommunications business operator suspends the provision of telecommunications service; or
    • In case the provision of service is objectively impossible due to other force majeure reasons.
  • 12. Provision of information and publication of advertisements
    UST may suspend the provision of the Service in the following cases:
    1. UST may provide Members with various information that is deemed necessary for service use, for the purpose of improving services, or for introducing services to Members by
      text message
      , e-mail or postal mail.
    2. UST may post information or advertisements related to the Services on service screens, homepages, etc., and may notify Members through
      text messages or e-mails
      thereof.
    3. UST shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused by Members participating in promotional activities of advertisers posted on the Service or through the Service, communicating or transacting.
    4. Members shall be deemed to agree to the publication of advertisements exposed when using the Service.
  • 13. Responsibility for Data Content and UST's right to Modify Information
    1. Data content means the personal information and resume registered by Member and the posts posted on the Site.
    2. Members shall truthfully prepare data content and posts based on facts, and in case that the content of the data is not true or is written incorrectly, all responsibility arising therefrom shall be on such Member.
    3. The management and preparation of all data contents shall be, in principle, done by Members themselves, but even if consignment or proxy management is done for any reasons, the Member shall be responsible for the data contents. Members shall periodically check their data and try to manage it accurately at all times.
    4. UST may edit at any time if there are typographical errors, omissions, or phrases and contents that go against social norms in the data registered by individual Members.
    5. If a request for deletion is made by a third person (or corporation) due to false facts or defamation on the data registered by an individual Member, UST may delete such data without prior notice to that individual Member, and after such deletion, UST may notify it by text, email, or etc.
  • 14. Use and Handling of Data Content
    1. The information entered by individual Members may be used as statistical data on employment and related trends, and such data may be distributed to the media. However, any information contained personal information that can identify an individual shall be excluded.
    2. Resume information of an individual Member viewed by a corporate Member through a due process on the Site may be used as the personnel data of that company, and the management authority for it is subject to the company's policy.
    3. UST may provide individual Members with whether the resume whose individual Member applied through the online job application system of the Site have viewed and with various statistical data on candidates who have applied for recruitment information provided by corporate Members.
  • 15. UST’s Responsibilities
    1. UST shall make best effort to provide the Service continuously and reliably as stipulated in these Terms.
    2. UST shall deal with complaints from Members related to the Service immediately, and if taking immediate action is not available, UST shall notify the Member of the reason and processing schedule through the service screen or other methods.
    3. UST shall not be liable for damages caused by unexpected events such as natural disasters or by interruption of the Service due to system failure. However, UST shall be responsible for making best efforts to restore data or support normal service.
    4. UST shall obtain the consent from the Member when Member's data is provided to, or accessed by, a third party for purposes other than this Service.
  • 16. Member’s Responsibilities
    1. Members shall comply with the relevant laws and regulations, these Terms and other matters notified by UST and shall not engage in any acts that interfere with the business of UST.
    2. Members shall not copy, reproduce, translate, publish, broadcast, use, or otherwise provide to any third party with, the information obtained by using the Service without the prior consent from UST.
    3. Members shall not use this Service for purposes other than purpose of sound employment/
      recruitment
      and career management, and shall not engage in any of the following acts:
      • Illegal use of another Member's ID
      • Acts for the purpose of criminal acts or related to other criminal acts
      • Acts that defame or insult others
      • An act of infringing the rights of others, such as intellectual property rights
      • An act of Hacking or spreading viruses
      • An act of continuously transmitting certain contents, such as advertising information, against the will of others
      • Any act that is judged to interfere with, or is likely to interfere with, the stable operation of the Service.
      • Any act of for-profit activities using information and services on the Site
      • Other acts that harm good customs or other social order or violate related laws and regulations
  • 17. Cancellation of Membership/Service Suspension/Data Deletion
    1. When a Member wishes to terminate the use of the Service, the Member himself/herself may make a request through the service or e-mail, and shall apply to UST.
    2. In the case of any of the following, UST may terminate membership, suspend its use of the Service, or delete resumes without prior consent:
      • When the Member does not faithfully fulfill its obligation hereto;
      • When a public criticism arises by using information to a field that does not fit the purpose of this Service;
      • When the information registered by the Member are not based facts or are manipulated; or
      • Other cases of damaging the reputation of this Service.
    3. UST shall follow the personal information retention and use period regulations in the privacy policy when membership is terminated.
  • 18. Damages and Disclaimer
    1. In the event that UST causes damages to Users due to violating the provisions of Articles 8, 15 or 17 of these Terms or due to intentional or gross negligence of UST in relation to all Services provided by UST, it shall compensate for such damages.
    2. A Member causes damage to UST or a third party due to violating the provisions of Articles 6, 16, or 17 of these Terms or due to reasons attributable to such Member, it shall compensate for such damages.
    3. In the event that a Member suffers damages due to reasons attributable to other Members (including individual Members, corporate Members, search firm Members, dispatch/agent Members, and educational institution Members), UST shall not be liable for such damages.
  • 19. Members’ Personal Information
    UST shall make an effort to protect Users' personal information. Regarding the protection of Users' personal information, UST shall comply with the Act On Promotion Of Information And Communications Network Utilization And Information Protection and shall post the privacy policy on the Site.
  • 20. Consent to Provision and Use of Credit Information
    1. When UST intends to provide others with or utilize the Member's personal credit information acquired in connection with membership registration, UST shall obtain consent from the relevant Member with providing notice of the purpose of the provisions and the name of the institution or company concerned in advance in accordance with the provisions of Article 23 of the Credit Information Use And Protection Act.
    2. In the event that UST obtains consent from a Member to provide to others with and use credit information in accordance with the Credit Information Use And Protection Act, it shall be deemed the Member agrees that UST utilizes information as data to determine the Member's credit by providing it to a credit information provider or a credit information collection agency and that UST provides information to be used as policy data by public institutions.
  • 21. Dispute Resolution
    1. UST and Members shall make all necessary efforts to amicably resolve disputes arising out of the Service.
    2. Notwithstanding the efforts of the preceding paragraph, the lawsuit regarding any dispute shall be referred to the competent court of the address of UST.
  • Additional Provision
    These Terms will be applied from January 7, 2023, and the existing Terms will be replaced by these Terms.
